Check Out Our Lilly Pulitzer-Themed Nursery!
Hi y’all! The nursery for baby #2 is finally complete (well, as complete as it’s going to be before baby arrives)! I’ve been keeping things pretty under wraps on social media, so I’m so excited to hear what you think. Let’s dive into the reveal!

And After!
And, here’s our new Lilly Pulitzer-themed nursery!
Deciding on the Theme
As a reminder, this room started as my office/gym space in our home. I was in the middle of decorating the space–had gotten as far as building the desk and painting the doors a fun teal–when we found out I was pregnant.
Once we found out we were having a girl, I struggled with deciding if I should embrace the teal doors and the bright colors and patterns of Lilly Pulitzer for our little girl. Or, should I go a more tame coastal vibe with navies and splashes of teal.
My husband pushed me into the Lilly Pulitzer theme with one question–if you don’t make this a Lilly-themed room, when’s the next time you’ll get a chance to do so?
Since I didn’t have a clear answer there, the theme was decided!

Balancing the Bright Colors with Creating a Calming Space for Baby
My biggest worry with the Lilly Pulitzer-themed nursery was that you would walk into the room and feel overwhelmed with color. That’s not my style.
So, I made sure to keep lots of white in the room–white walls, white furniture–and bring the colors in in small pops.
What’s Left to Add?
Once baby arrives and has a name, I’ll be adding her monogram over her bed, just like in E’s room. And, I’ll add some family photos over the dresser once we have them.
I also plan on making the closet a little more functional and fun! I love a closet with a good personality (have you seen our storage closet makeover yet?)
And lastly, I’d like to bring just a little more color in–maybe in an accent rug? What do y’all think??

Over the next few weeks, I’m hoping to get a few more posts published detailing the projects done in this space, so I’ll update the links below as they’re completed:
- Painted the walls and ceiling white and the doors teal
- Added decals to the crib wall to make a feature wall
- Created a gallery wall out of wallpaper samples
- Upgraded the hardware on our Ikea dresser
- Mounted the dresser to the wall to keep it from tipping
- Installed a ceiling fan for air flow and overhead lighting
